World War II veteran, Rupert Smith, stood in ceremony as a member of the Minnesota VFW Post 3979 honor guard. When invited to participate in the Native Indian/Inuit Photographers Association’s See Through Our Eyes: A Day In The Life of Native America project, I chose to document Fond du Lac brothers Rupert and Roger Smith as they traveled to several regional cemeteries to honor fallen comrades.
